The 2023/24 Surf Lifesaving season has begun, and a great morning was had at Wauchope-Bonny Hills SLSC for the SLSMNC Newcastle Permanent Raising of the Flags Ceremony.
Chalky Bob Smith OAM read the Lifesavers pledge moments before PMHC Mayor Peta Pinson declared Rainbow Beach open and the Volunteer Patrol season had begun.
In attendance were SLSMNC Branch Executive and Life Members, Club executives and Life Members, Samantha Cullen and Courtney Knapp from our major sponsor Newcastle Permanent, members from our 8 Clubs within the MNC Branch and community members.
